WELCOME!!!!!!

WELCOME everyone to my South Park blog! I will take this time to explain the contradictory title of the blog. The description of a "hard pill to swallow" reflects the fact that South Park is obviously a racy and bold show that takes risks with touchy subjects such as race, religion, sex, sexual orientation and disabilities. This is usually why many choose not to watch it, because they find the subjects too sensitive and don't like the crude humor that is used to convey them. The inclusion of the word "soft" is meant to reflect the humor that is used to lighten the topics and make them easier to handle for the viewers who actually watch South Park. However, there is still another aspect to be discussed. The pill is still "hard" to swallow for those who may laugh hysterically at the comedy presented. If one takes a closer look at the meanings behind the subjects of the episodes, you will see a hidden agenda. Behind the gut-busting comedy are truths that reflect some of the negative qualities and mentalities that exist within our society, including the presence of discrimination and social ignorance. The scenarios in the show are a mirror reflection of our society and that can be a "hard" thing to accept. This blog is not just for serious discussions about these issues, but just to have a good time discussing all of the crazy stuff that happens in the episodes, personal views on the subject matters, personal reactions, and the relation of South Park to another topic like TECHNOLOGY!! (hint hint), basically feel free to explore whatever you want on this blog and again HAVE FUN!!!!!

P.S.- Also feel free to post links to clips or full episodes so that you can blog on that specific episode and others will be able to go and see it for themselves.
